For some time already I had wanted to visit the Chernobyl site and especially the Pripyat ghost town. I think I was first inspired by the Kid of Speed site as it contains a lot of good pictures and stories. Jussi made a trip there with his friends in 2005 and he wanted to go again. So we proposed a trip in our 777-team meeting and some 15 people were interested. Finally got 8 to go, not all from the team, though.
When we had decided (and most had cancelled) that we are going, I happened to read about Odessa. So I thought that as we are going to Ukraine anyway, why not go to Odessa too? As Jussi and Maria were with me immediately, we extended the trip to Odessa.
